Smart Power generators provide many advantages over other systems on the market, but they can be summed up in three main points;

COMPACT SIZE
Not only are Smart Power generators physically smaller than the competition, the footprint required to install them is significantly smaller as well. This becomes a major concern when mounting a generator on top of the vehicle in a dunnage area. As an example, the Smart Power ER Series 10kW tray assembly with integrated reservoir takes up only 6499 cubic inches. A Harrison MCR Series 10kW with the reservoir attached takes up 9767 cubic inches; that's over 50% larger than the Smart Power. When looking at footprint, the Smart Power HR Series 10kW takes up only 511.5 square inches of floor space (with the short end vented to the outside of the truck), where the Onan CMHG Series 10kW requires 970 square inches; that's almost 90% more space needed for the same power output. OVERSIZED COOLING
All Smart Power generators are designed with oversized coolers. Generator overheating has always been a major issue, and Smart Power has virtually eliminated it by using coolers which are up to 120% larger than the coolers other hydraulic generator manufacturers are using. Our coolers, which are over twice as large, are coupled with thermostatically-controlled high-performance fans that move a very high volume of air to ensure all components remain cool. Our lower fluid temperatures not only eliminate the drop in frequency and voltage associated with overheating, they also dramatically increase the life of the hydraulic components, resulting in long-term system reliability, and reduced service costs.
TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED
Every Smart Power generator comes standard with our exclusive electronic control system, which increases performance and reliability. Features included in the electronic control system are cold start protection (warms fluid to safe temperature before engaging generator), automated overheat shutdown protection (in case cooler gets blocked), automated overload protection (to protect the windings), a true soft start (gradually increases fluid flow to motor at startup), self diagnostics (with event recording), fine tuned frequency (proportional valve in tray adjusts fluid flow through hydraulic motor to ensure exact output), built in service reminders (tells when filter needs to be changed), and electronic fluid level monitoring (ensures system is not run with insufficient fluid), just to name a few. In addition, all Smart Power generators come with our Command and Control Center display, which is completely water-tight, has touch pad buttons (for easy operation even with bulky gloves) and is built in-house by our electronics division along with the system controller itself. All Smart Power generators can be integrated into the vehicle's multiplexing system for total control of the generator from your centralized multiplexing display.
